It is to be noted that, Shastasundari Devi married Raja Jogendra Narayan at the age of five and she was widowed after seven years of her marriage. Because he had no children, he adopted a son named Rajinikanth. Later, Rajinikanth got married to Hemantakumari Devi, known as ‘King Jatindranarayan’. Vidyashee Shratasundari Devi, whom Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar and Maharshi Debendranath Tagore had known as their daughter, died at 37 years of age.

After Hemant Kumar’s death, Puthia Rajbari lost his Joules because of the abolition of dynasties and zamindari system. But there are still some of them, which are currently undergoing renovation work.
